**Azerbaijani MPs Call for Reevaluation of Relations with the U.S.**

A group of Azerbaijani MPs recently sent a letter to Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, expressing concerns over the double standards and pressure exerted by the United States towards Azerbaijan. The MPs urged for a reevaluation of relations with the U.S., specifically calling for the withdrawal from defense cooperation agreements and the suspension of USAID’s activities in the country.

The letter highlights how the U.S. has consistently ignored Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage destruction by Armenians, supported Armenia’s militarization, and overlooked the deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia. Despite Azerbaijan’s efforts to maintain partnerships and exercise patience, the U.S. has imposed sanctions, ignored atrocities like the Khojaly genocide, and emboldened Armenia with financial aid for rearmament after Azerbaijan liberated its territories.

The MPs believe that stable bilateral relations require mutual effort and that Azerbaijan will not bow to pressure or threats. In response to the unfair accusations and threats, Azerbaijan proposes reviewing agreements with the U.S., suspending joint projects with USAID, and halting the agency’s activities in the country.

This situation highlights the complexities of international relations and the importance of maintaining respectful and constructive dialogue for lasting peace and stability in the region.
