APC and APP candidates secure landslide victory in Rivers LGA elections

APC Commends RSIEC for Conducting Peaceful Local Government Elections in Rivers State

Amidst the 2024 Rivers State Local Government Elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised the Rivers State Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for their efficient organization of the event. The Chairman of APC in the state, Chief Emeka Beke, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the elections at his polling unit in Emohua LGA.

Emeka Beke emphasized that the absence of security personnel did not hamper the smooth running of the elections, highlighting the peaceful behavior of voters. In addition, he strongly condemned the recent burning of Chief Tony Okocha’s factional office, attributing the act to individuals not associated with the APC.

Furthermore, Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Prince Charles Beke, lauded RSIEC for their thorough planning and execution of the electoral process, noting the absence of any conflicts in his unit. Additionally, Barr Israel Abosi, a Chairmanship Candidate of the Action Peoples Party, praised the electoral umpire for surpassing expectations in Ikwerre LGA.

Overall, the local government elections in Rivers State were deemed fair and successful, with participating candidates and officials commending RSIEC for their commendable efforts.
