Strengthening Bilateral Ties: Pakistan and Malaysia Pledge Cooperation Across Various Sectors

In a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, both countries reiterated their commitment to enhancing cooperation in banking, commerce, economics, agriculture, food technology, and technology. The discussions took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, with prominent officials present.

President Zardari welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister, emphasizing Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening ties with Malaysia. The visit was seen as a significant step towards boosting collaboration between the two nations.

Addressing the conflict in Gaza, President Zardari condemned Israel’s actions and urged the international community to intervene. Furthermore, a special ceremony saw Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim being honored with Nishan-e-Pakistan for his unwavering support for Islamic causes and friendship with Pakistan.

Recognized for his advocacy of humanitarian causes and Islamic values, the Malaysian Prime Minister continues to champion social justice and interfaith harmony. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and concluded with a state dinner in honor of the Malaysian delegation.
