Venezuela extends humanitarian aid to war-torn Lebanon
President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela has announced that the country will be sending humanitarian aid to Lebanon in response to the crisis caused by Israel’s offensive. In a meeting with Beirut’s Ambassador in Caracas at the Miraflores Palace, Maduro confirmed the support of Venezuela for Lebanon against Tel Aviv and the organization of a large humanitarian aid brigade.
Foreign Minister Yván Gil emphasized the importance of solidarity and diplomatic actions to counter the violence perpetrated by Israel, and pledged to mobilize the Venezuelan and Arab communities in the country to provide support and denounce the Israeli aggression. Gil also criticized Western powers for turning a blind eye to the situation, likening it to a genocide similar to that of Adolf Hitler.
The Lebanese Ambassador expressed gratitude for Venezuela’s assistance, highlighting the need to protect the Venezuelan community in Lebanon. The efforts to provide support and aid will continue in the coming days.
