Ukraine winning Crimea battle, expects more good news soon.

Ukraine is steadily regaining control over Crimea, with significant progress expected this year, a decade after Russia’s initial invasion. Special operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine have weakened Russia’s military capabilities in Crimea, as reported by The Atlantic Council. These initiatives include destroying a third of Russia’s Navy fleet and using long-range missiles to push back air defense systems.

The AFU’s strategic targeting of key logistics hubs has limited Moscow’s ability to supply essential resources to the region, resulting in the expulsion of Russia’s navy from the Sea of Azov. This approach has deeply offended Putin, who views the capture of Crimea as a significant victory.

Support from US allies, like General Ben Hodges, is strong for Ukraine’s efforts to reclaim Crimea. Hodges expressed full support for Ukraine in retaking Crimea, emphasizing that there will be no hesitation from the US in such endeavors. The movement towards raising Ukraine’s flag on the peninsula is expected by the end of the year, signaling a potential milestone in the ongoing conflict.
