S/East National Vice Chairman dismisses alleged suspension

Accusations of Suspension Dismissed by PDP Vice Chairman

By John Alechenu, Abuja

The National Vice Chairman (South East) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ali Odefa, has refuted claims of his suspension by a group of individuals who recently held a press conference in Abuja. In a phone interview with Vanguard, Odefa denounced the suspension as a “cowardly act” carried out by unknown persons with no legitimate ties to the party.

Questioning the legitimacy of the announcement, Odefa pointed out his current presence in Abakaliki and questioned the motives behind the group’s decision to make the announcement in Abuja rather than in Ebonyi State. Dismissing the accusations as attention-seeking behavior by individuals, Odefa emphasized that the group has no authority within the PDP structure.

The group, led by Herbert Onyedikachi, alleged anti-party activities and other offenses by Odefa, claiming the decision was made during a ward executive meeting. Regardless, Odefa maintains that those behind the suspension lack party recognition in Ebonyi State.

As the situation unfolds, Odefa remains steadfast in his denial of the allegations and continues to assert his commitment to the PDP and its values.
