The Liberation of Jabrayil: A Historic Moment for Azerbaijan
BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The Azerbaijani Army launched a counter-offensive operation, later called the “Iron Fist”, on September 27, 2020, in response to the large-scale provocation of the Armenian armed forces along the frontline.
The 44-day second Karabakh war ended with the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories from nearly a 30-year Armenian occupation and the restoration of territorial integrity.
President Ilham Aliyev addressed the nation, announcing the liberation of Jabrayil City and nine villages in the district from occupation. This victory marks a significant milestone in Azerbaijan’s history, restoring historical justice.
Azerbaijan is fighting to regain its territorial integrity and has shown immense determination and heroism on the battlefield. President Aliyev emphasized that the Azerbaijani people will never accept the occupation of their lands by Armenian forces.
The President condemned Armenia’s actions and reiterated that Azerbaijan will continue its mission to liberate all occupied territories. He emphasized that Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan and will be restored to its rightful owners.
