BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan dismissed an appeal by sixty pro-Armenian members of the U.S. Congress calling for new sanctions on Azerbaijan. During a meeting in the city of Jabrayil, President Aliyev emphasized that the continuous policy of hostility against Azerbaijan persists despite efforts for peace.
He commented on the appeal, suggesting that it was likely written by the U.S. State Department due to its targeting of the Secretary of State.
