Pentagon Silent on Potential Targeting of Iranian Oil Sites

Read the latest update on potential targets for an Israeli strike on Iran’s oil facilities in this exclusive report from Sputnik International. Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh refrained from commenting on whether Iranian oil facilities could be hit in the expected attack.

“Detailing out from here what potential targets might look like, I just don’t think that serves a purpose or is really that helpful,” said Singh during a press briefing. This ambiguity comes amidst escalating tensions in the region.

US President Joe Biden has voiced his opposition to an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites but remained open to the possibility of targeting oil facilities. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized that Iran does not seek war but will respond resolutely to any threats.
