Iran’s Ambassador to Venezuela, Hojjatollah Soltani, recently addressed the ongoing conflict in West Asia in an exclusive interview with Venezuela’s official news agency. He emphasized that Iran’s response to the aggressive actions of Israel was in accordance with international laws and the United Nations Charter.
Soltani expressed disappointment in the ineffectiveness of international organizations in holding Israel accountable for its crimes and bloodshed in the region. He reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to regional peace and security, stating that the country will defend its soil against foreign threats, including possible attacks by the Israeli military and its supporters.
Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto supported Iran’s missile operation as a right of self-defense under the UN Charter. He condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threats against Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran, and called on the international community to stop the genocide and uphold the rule of law.
