The National Council of Ministers is recommending President Salva Kiir declare a national disaster in states affected by floods. The Humanitarian Affairs Ministry presented an update on the floods which have displaced over 772,000 people and devastated infrastructure.
Minister of Water Resources presented on a water development project between South Sudan and Uganda costing $96 million. The project aims to provide water for irrigation and livestock in both countries.
Mining Minister also presented a memo on joining the African Mineral and Geoscience Center in Tanzania for expertise and collaboration. The Council approved the membership with an annual fee of $65,000.
