An Israeli airstrike has cut off a main highway linking Lebanon with Syria, leaving two huge craters on either side of the road.

The airstrike Friday rendered the road unusable for cars, forcing people to travel on foot towards the Masnaa Border Crossing where tens of thousands are fleeing war in Lebanon to Syria.

Israel and Hezbollah continue to engage in hostilities with casualties on both sides. The conflict has led to significant civilian displacement, with rescue efforts from various countries underway.

Amidst the escalating tensions, Japan and the US are facilitating the evacuation of their citizens from Lebanon, ensuring their safety amidst the conflict.

Meanwhile, Iran’s leader has warned of harsh retaliation if Israel carries out further attacks, further complicating the regional crisis.
