Araghchi justified Iran’s recent missile attack on Tel Aviv as legitimate self-defense in response to Israeli aggression against Iranian territory and interests.
This visit marked Araghchi’s first to Lebanon since assuming office, amid ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. The conflict has led to significant casualties and displacement in Lebanon, with fears of escalation to a wider regional war. The international community has urged restraint to prevent further violence.
