Iran cautions West against meddling in Tehran-Tel Aviv escalation

Iran Warns Potential Aggressors of Retaliation

Amir Saeid Iravani, a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), issued a warning in response to queries from American media about the potential consequences of an Israeli attack on Iran. Iravani emphasized that Iran’s retaliation would be directed solely towards the aggressor, but any country supporting the aggressor would also be considered complicit and a legitimate target.

He advised other countries to stay out of any conflicts between Iran and Israel to avoid being drawn into the battle. Recently, the IRGC launched Operation True Promise 2, firing hundreds of missiles at targets in the Tel Aviv area. This response was triggered by the assassinations of key leaders in the resistance front, including Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah.

The IRGC justified its actions as a legitimate act of self-defense in accordance with the United Nations Charter, responding to escalating crimes by the Israeli regime, with the backing of the US, against Lebanon and Gaza. The operation targeted air and radar bases, as well as centers involved in planning assassinations of IRGC commanders.

This bold move by Iran serves as a strong warning against any potential aggression, signaling its readiness to defend itself and retaliate decisively against any threats.
