Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch is currently representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the 19th Francophonie Summit in Villers-Cotterêts, France. The summit, held at the Cité internationale de la langue française and the Grand Palais, brings together leaders from French-speaking countries to discuss key issues.

Upon his arrival, Akhannouch was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron and Louise Mushikiwabo, the Secretary General of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF). The summit includes ministerial meetings, discussions with young creators and entrepreneurs, and events like the Franco Tech technology show and Village de la Francophonie.

Since Morocco joined the OIF in 1981, the country has played a vital role in promoting cultural diversity, multilingualism, and international cooperation. The Kingdom’s active participation in various OIF bodies showcases its commitment to these values.
