The top Iranian diplomat, Araqchi, paid a visit to Beirut where he was briefed on the latest developments in Lebanon following the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah by Israeli forces. During his visit to the Iranian Embassy, Araqchi paid tribute to Nasrallah, Iranian general Abbas Nilforoushan, and other resistance forces who were martyred in an Israeli strike on September 27.
Araqchi commended the efforts of Iranian diplomats in Beirut and emphasized the importance of utilizing all diplomatic capacities to support Lebanon and the region against the aggressive and expansionist actions of the Zionist regime. The visit comes after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei condemned the attacks on Lebanon by the “rabid Zionist dog” and called for Muslim unity in support of the Lebanese people and Hezbollah.
