Exciting News: Record Number of Promotions in the Nigeria Immigration Service!

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has recently appointed 15 new Assistant Comptrollers General (ACGs) and promoted 95 officers to the rank of Comptroller, as part of a larger promotion exercise involving 13,977 immigration personnel.
At a decoration ceremony in Abuja, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Ahmed Ja’afaru, announced that five officers received special promotions for outstanding performance, including one who saved the Service millions of naira.
The Minister of Interior has been praised for resolving long-standing issues of career stagnation within the NIS. Comptroller General Kemi Nandap commended the government’s commitment to promoting career progression and growth, ensuring that stagnation is a thing of the past.
The historic promotions included 6,697 officers advancing to ACG and 7,280 personnel promoted to Inspector of Immigration, marking a significant milestone in rewarding excellence and building a capable workforce for the challenges of the modern world.
