Fu cautioned against passive delays or military adventurism, calling for influential countries to play a constructive role in defusing tensions. He highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Lebanon, urging respect for international law and the protection of civilians. Fu also emphasized the importance of safeguarding UN peacekeepers and assets.
The Lebanese Health Ministry reported 46 deaths and 85 injuries from Israeli airstrikes in multiple areas. An airstrike on Hezbollah’s Health Authority Center in Beirut caused significant damage. The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated with intense air attacks since September 23.
