Boris Johnson hints at Netanyahu spying on his bathroom

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has revealed a shocking claim in his new memoir, Unleashed. Johnson alleges that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bugged his personal toilet during a visit to the UK in 2017. The incident, according to Johnson, involved a listening device discovered by security in his private bathroom at the Foreign Office.

While showing Netanyahu around the Foreign Office, Johnson humorously presented a walnut desk as the one used by Arthur Balfour for the Balfour Declaration, which aimed to establish a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine. Netanyahu appeared impressed, but Johnson later admitted the desk was likely not the original.

Interestingly, around the same time, US officials accused Israel of planting surveillance devices near the White House. This led to tensions, with reports of Netanyahu and his wife allegedly exploiting US resources for laundering clothes during foreign trips, causing diplomatic strife.

Despite the controversies, neither the Israeli government nor Netanyahu’s office have confirmed these allegations, maintaining their innocence.
