What missiles does Iran possess?

CNNIran recently launched its largest-ever attack on Israel, firing 180 ballistic missiles, with most of them being intercepted by anti-missile defenses from Israel, the United States, and Jordan. This attack, exceeding the seriousness of a previous strike in April, has intensified tensions in the already volatile Middle East region.

Experts have analyzed Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities along with the defensive systems utilized by Israel and neighboring forces. According to reports, Tehran possesses thousands of ballistic and cruise missiles with varying ranges, posing a significant threat. The attack on Israel featured the Shahab-3 ballistic missile, a cornerstone of Iran’s medium-range missile arsenal.

Israel has a multi-layered defense system comprising the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Arrow 2, and Arrow 3 to counter various missile threats effectively. During the recent attack, the US military also responded by firing anti-missile munitions from Navy guided-missile destroyers operating in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

In conclusion, the complex dynamics of missile capabilities and defense mechanisms in the Middle East continue to shape regional security.
