Russian Kamikaze Drone Destroys Ukrainian Armored Vehicle
The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed that a Ukrainian armored vehicle was destroyed by a kamikaze drone in Russia’s Kursk Region. The footage released by the Defense Ministry in Moscow shows the moment of impact.
Ukrainian troops launched an incursion into the region on August 6, aiming to improve their position for potential peace talks with Moscow. However, the Russian military quickly halted their advance and began pushing them back.
According to the ministry’s Telegram channel, a reconnaissance UAV spotted the Ukrainian armored vehicle, prompting Russian marines to deploy an explosives-laden drone to eliminate it. The attack was successful, resulting in a direct hit.
In a separate post, the Russian military reported repelling multiple attempts by Ukrainian forces to cross the border and carrying out strikes against Ukrainian reserves in nearby Sumy Region. Additionally, Russian forces destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle, a self-propelled artillery gun, and two electronic warfare stations.
The ministry estimated that over 300 Ukrainian troops were lost in the past 24 hours in Kursk Region, with seven surrendering.
