The authorities in Jebel Boma County of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) have apprehended a suspected cattle raider. County Commissioner Alston Logony Zuagin revealed that the suspect was captured on the outskirts of the Nyat wildlife post and is currently under investigation with plans to hand him over to the Eastern Equatoria State government.
Zuagin commended the youth for their role in the arrest, urging them not to resort to violence but to take the suspect to the county headquarters. The arrested individual admitted to being part of a group of five other raiders, prompting further investigation into the matter.
The authorities aim to work with Eastern Equatoria State to address the issue of cattle raiding, showcasing their commitment to combat such criminal activities. Despite efforts, attempts to contact Kapoeta East County Commissioner Abdalla Angelo Lokeno proved unsuccessful.
