By Kingsley Omonobi
The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the FCT Police Command recently made a significant breakthrough by apprehending four notorious kidnappers who had been terrorizing the Abuja area. These criminals, identified as Yau Sani, Nuhu, Kabiru Mohammed, and Yusuf Hassan, were responsible for a series of kidnappings and seven deaths in the region.
Acting on credible intelligence, the police arrested the suspects at their hideout in Sauka, Abuja, where they were living among the general population. The criminals also confessed to planning attacks on government institutions and estates within the FCT.
After the arrests, the authorities raided another hideout in Gauraka Forest, Suleja, Niger State, where they recovered a cache of arms, including AK-47 rifles and live ammunition. The Police Command successfully foiled their planned attacks, ensuring the safety of the public.
The FCT Police Command remains committed to eradicating crime in the region and urges the public to report any suspicious activities. Citizens can contact emergency numbers or relevant authorities with complaints.
