The Government of Pakistan Implements Pillion Riding Ban in Islamabad Ahead of PTI Protest
In a strategic move, the government has decided to ban pillion riding in Islamabad for two days, Friday and Saturday, ahead of the planned protest demonstration by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The decision aims to maintain peace and security in the capital city amidst ongoing crucial diplomatic events.
Moreover, the Private Schools Association has also announced the closure of schools in Islamabad, emphasizing the safety of children as the top priority. The association highlighted the challenges faced by students due to the presence of containers in the city.
Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi stated that the government will take all necessary measures to prevent protest demonstrations in Islamabad, considering the upcoming visits of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and a Saudi delegation, along with the SCO conference. He urged PTI leadership to prioritize security concerns and the reputation of Pakistan, urging Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to reconsider the demonstration.
