Pashinyan tours Armenian Embassy in France’s new building

Armenian Embassy in France relocates to historic building in Paris

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajyan, visited the new building purchased for the Armenian Embassy in Paris. The historic building, previously owned by former French President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, is located in the prestigious 16th arrondissement.

With the Armenian government allocating 23 million euros for the acquisition, the move signifies a significant upgrade from the current embassy location, which is provided free of charge under a 1995 agreement. The new building will not only serve as the embassy but also house Armenia’s permanent representations to UNESCO and La Francophonie.

The relocation reflects the deepening relations between Armenia and France, showcasing a commitment to enhancing diplomatic presence in the heart of Europe. The move signifies a significant step forward in strengthening ties between the two countries.
