New poll shows SYRIZA falling to fifth place

A recent poll by MRB reveals that the main opposition party SYRIZA has fallen to fifth place just before the upcoming leadership election at PASOK, which currently holds second place.

SYRIZA’s drop to fifth was also highlighted in a previous survey released earlier this week.

The poll shows a close competition in the PASOK leadership race between Nikos Androulakis (27.3%) and Haris Doukas (25.7%). Other candidates include Pavlos Yeroulanos (17.9%) and Anna Diamantopoulou (16.9%), with 23% of voters still undecided.

SYRIZA, once a dominant force, now only has 7.5% support. New Democracy leads with 21.9%, followed by PASOK at 12.2%. Hellenic Solution and KKE follow in third and fourth place respectively.

In a recent MRB poll, SYRIZA has seen a significant decline in popularity, dropping to fifth place before the upcoming PASOK leadership election. The survey indicates a neck-to-neck competition between leading candidates in the PASOK race, with a substantial portion of voters still undecided. SYRIZA’s diminishing support contrasts sharply with its previous strong position. New Democracy holds the lead in the polls, followed closely by PASOK. This data points towards an intriguing political landscape in Greece, with shifting allegiances and emerging contenders making their mark.
