In a recent meeting, Minister Louay Kharita of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment discussed the progress of cooperation projects with the UNDP in Syria. The Minister highlighted the government’s efforts in providing for Syrian and Lebanese displaced individuals due to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, emphasizing the need for UNDP’s participation.
Sudipto Mukerjee, the Resident Representative of UNDP in Syria, expressed keen interest in enhancing collaboration with the ministry and expediting project approvals. He also discussed the potential for UNDP to support emergency response efforts and aid the Syrian government.
