Minister cautions PTI against Islamabad rally during Malaysia PM’s visit – Pakistan

Interior Minister Warns PTI Against Rally Amid Foreign Dignitaries’ Visits

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued a strong warning to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against its plans to hold a rally at Islamabad’s D-Chowk tomorrow. The warning comes in light of the scheduled high-profile visits by foreign dignitaries, including the Malaysian prime minister.

The PTI has been organizing rallies nationwide to protest against various issues, which has led to clashes between PTI workers and authorities. Despite the government’s strict guidelines, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and other PTI lawmakers have vowed to attend the rally at D-Chowk on October 4.

Naqvi emphasized the sensitivity of the situation and urged PTI to reconsider their decision, stating that disrupting the capital during a foreign head of state’s visit would be inappropriate. He warned that any attempts to proceed with the rally would not be tolerated and urged PTI to respect the diplomatic engagements taking place in Islamabad.

While protesting is a constitutional right, Naqvi stressed the importance of timing and urged PTI to avoid causing any disruptions during the crucial diplomatic visits.
