Last week Turkish security forces neutralized 58 terrorists

In a recent update from the National Defense Ministry, Türkiye’s security forces have successfully “neutralized” 58 terrorists in the past week, with a total of 2,107 terrorists neutralized since the beginning of the year. The ministry’s spokesman, Rear Admiral Zeki Akturk, highlighted the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, including operations in northern Iraq and Syria.

The PKK, designated as a terrorist organization by multiple countries, has been responsible for numerous casualties in Türkiye over the years. The ministry also reported on border security measures, with 463 individuals captured for illegal border crossings last week.

Additionally, Akturk called for permanent measures against Israeli attacks in Palestine, emphasizing the need to prevent further destabilization in the region. Discussions on the procurement of F-16 fighter jets and Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft are ongoing, reflecting a commitment to strengthening defense cooperation.

Despite challenges and delays, Türkiye remains focused on enhancing its defense capabilities and addressing security threats in the region.
