Israel launches second Beirut airstrike, killing six

Israel launched a deadly airstrike on central Beirut, killing at least six people after suffering losses in clashes with Hezbollah. This marked the second airstrike within the city since the border hostilities started a year ago.

Israel claimed it conducted a precise airstrike, resulting in a massive blast and casualties, including paramedics. The targeted building in Bachoura neighborhood was heavily damaged. Additionally, heavy overnight airstrikes were reported in Beirut’s southern suburbs where Hezbollah’s leader was killed.

Following Iran’s missile attack on Israel, the conflict escalated, leading to Israeli ground operations in Lebanon and retaliation against Iranian forces. Amid escalating tensions, world leaders called for a diplomatic solution to avoid a wider conflict in the Middle East.

With casualties mounting on both sides, the conflict has displaced thousands and caused significant destruction. The situation remains volatile, with potential for further escalation as regional powers clash.
