In a recent meeting, Iranian Parliament Speaker Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of Muslim unity in the face of Israeli aggression and called for increased cooperation among Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia. He expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in Iran-Saudi relations and reiterated Iran’s commitment to strengthen interactions with Riyadh.
Pezeshkian described Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia as “brothers” and stressed the need for setting aside differences to enhance cooperation. He highlighted the troubling situations in Gaza and Lebanon, condemning Israeli aggression and referencing Iran’s recent missile strike on Israeli sites as a legitimate response.
Pezeshkian warned that if Islamic countries do not unite against injustice, the crises in Gaza and Lebanon could spread to other regions. He emphasized the crucial role Saudi Arabia could play in halting Israeli atrocities and the importance of consultations between Saudi Arabia and Western countries.
The Saudi foreign minister echoed the desire to improve Saudi-Iranian relations and resolve issues, expressing confidence in Iran’s ability to navigate towards peace in the region.
