Germany Lauds Azerbaijan’s Preparation for COP29
At an event celebrating the Day of German Unity, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its exceptional preparation for COP29. Horlemann emphasized Germany’s support for Azerbaijan as the new COP president and highlighted the global significance of the conference.
The ambassador also voiced hope that COP29 would play a role in advancing the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting the progress made towards a peace agreement in the South Caucasus. Germany remains committed to supporting this peace-building effort.
Horlemann further emphasized Germany’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan as an EU member. He commended the efforts taken to address various issues and expressed optimism about future collaborations between the two countries.
