Families displaced find shelter in Beirut nightclub.

Sheltering in Style: Beirut Nightclub Offers Refuge to Displaced Families

Amidst the chaos and destruction of Israeli bombardment, a high-end nightclub in Beirut has opened its doors to provide refuge for displaced families. Skinn nightclub, known for its upscale atmosphere and stunning views, now houses around 400 people who have fled their homes due to the ongoing conflict.

What was once a bustling dance floor is now a makeshift home for children playing and families seeking safety. The club has transformed into a shelter, complete with food, showers, and toilets provided by humanitarian organizations.

Among the displaced families is Batoul Kanaan, who feels safe changing her baby’s diaper in the club. For many like Fatima Salah, the future is uncertain as they consider emigrating to escape the violence and uncertainty in their homeland.

As the war rages on, the nightclub continues to offer a glimmer of hope and respite for those who have lost everything. Despite the challenges they face, these families are determined to persevere as they cling to the belief that “Life Goes On”.

The generosity of Skinn nightclub serves as a beacon of light in the darkness of war, offering a reminder that even in the most unlikely of places, compassion and humanity can prevail.
