Guterres emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian aid in the region to alleviate the suffering of the affected population.
Guterres also condemned Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, describing it as the most deadly and destructive in recent years. He called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and a cessation of hostilities in Lebanon to pave the way for diplomatic efforts towards sustainable peace.
