Neena Pushkarna, a retired schoolteacher turned language interpreter, has dedicated over two decades to helping immigrants and ethnic minorities in Hong Kong communicate with government officials. Fluent in multiple languages, Pushkarna, now 81, continues to serve various government departments despite facing health challenges.

In 2007, Pushkarna was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer but chose to persevere through treatments while maintaining her commitment to her work. “I refused to let cancer define me,” she declared, showcasing her resilience and determination.
