Israeli MKs urge strikes on Iran after missile attack

After the Iranian missile attack, two Members of Knesset (MKs) from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (FADC) advised the Israeli government to use this opportunity to launch strategic strikes against Iran. Religious Zionist Party MK Ohad Tal suggested that the attack was a result of internal pressure in Iran, rather than an attempt to start a war. He emphasized the need for Israel to take advantage of the situation to defeat Iran and bring about a regime change.

Yesh Atid MK Moshe Turpaz stressed the importance of responding forcefully to the Iranian attack and launching a “painful” strike against strategic Iranian assets, potentially including nuclear facilities. He highlighted the need for Israel to act alongside the US to weaken Iran and strengthen international alliances against the country.

Turpaz also mentioned his recently published book, which discusses the challenges faced during the conflict and the strategic goals Israel needs to achieve in Lebanon, Gaza, and with Iran to secure lasting peace in the region.
