In a bold warning to Israel, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that Iran is “not looking for war” but will respond even stronger if provoked by Israel’s retaliation to its missile attack. Speaking at a joint press conference with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Doha, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran’s response is a commitment to defending itself against aggression.
The recent missile attack by Iran, which included about 200 missiles and hypersonic weapons aimed at Israel, raised tensions in the region. While Israel intercepted most of the missiles, some caused minor injuries and damage. Pezeshkian accused Israel of instigating conflict and destabilizing the region.
Sheikh Tamim also condemned Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon and the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip. He expressed Doha’s commitment to mediating a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The situation remains tense as both sides navigate escalating tensions and the risk of further conflict.
The call for peace and stability in the region echoes amid the threat of retaliation and escalating violence between Iran and Israel.
