Iran Attacks Israel with Ballistic Missiles
Iran made a bold move by launching at least 180 ballistic missiles on major cities in Israel as a response to recent civilian killings in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the assassinations of key leaders. The missiles were specifically aimed at military bases in Tel Aviv. Iran claimed to use Fatah hypersonic ballistic missiles for the first time, although this has not been independently verified.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised retaliation, calling Iran’s actions a “big mistake” that they will have to pay for. The United States supported Israel in thwarting Iran’s attack and pledged severe consequences.
