Gani Adams urges FG: Regionalism will unlock Nigeria’s potential

Embracing regionalism is the key to unlocking Nigeria’s potential, according to the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU). At a recent European Summit held in the United Kingdom, OPU called on the Federal Government to adopt a regional approach and urged southwest governors to approve an integrated development plan for the region.

Led by Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, OPU emphasized the need to prioritize education, enhance security, and address the issue of insecurity in the Southwest. The organization also called for the reinforcement of regional security and the inauguration of the Amotekun security outfit in Lagos State to boost morale in the region.

With a focus on replicating past success stories and reviving key sectors like education and security, OPU’s communique highlights the importance of a coordinated effort by the Southwest governors to address the challenges facing the region.
