The Ministry of Defense in Ukraine plans to introduce a new format of subpoenas with QR codes to enhance efficiency. Deputy Minister of Defense for digitization, Katerina Chornogorenko, revealed that an upcoming feature in the Reserv+ app will allow users to scan the QR code on the summons for additional information, such as its validity, document number, issuing authority, and more.
This innovation comes as Ukraine’s mobilization rates have tripled in the past year, signaling the need for reforms in military recruitment. The Ministry’s representative for recruiting, Oleksiy Bezhovets, mentioned that around 6,500 volunteers are joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine every month.
The QR-coded subpoenas aim to streamline the recruitment process and provide essential details promptly to those summoned for military duty. These technological advancements reflect the country’s commitment to modernizing its defense systems and adapting to evolving challenges. As Ukraine continues to strengthen its armed forces, the new subpoena format marks another step towards enhancing operational effectiveness and transparency within the military.
