Three baby kangaroos were stolen from a bird park and zoo in Russia, sparking concern and outrage. Two six-month-old kangaroos were taken from a bird park in the Kaluga region, with the perpetrators cutting down the fence to gain access. The incident has led to a criminal case being opened into the theft.

In a separate incident, a baby kangaroo named Krosh was stolen from the Yaroslavl Zoo. The culprits climbed over the enclosure fence, damaged the netting, and took the animal. The theft of these kangaroos is believed to be a commercial order from a private individual, according to circus director Edgard Zapashny.

Kangaroos, native to Australia and New Guinea, are marsupials known for their large feet. With millions of kangaroos estimated to exist in Australia, the recent thefts highlight the need for increased protection of these iconic animals.
