Siddaramaiah Defends Against Money Laundering Allegations, Refuses to Resign

In a recent development, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah questioned the ED’s decision to file a money laundering case against him in the MUDA ‘scam’. Despite facing these allegations, he remains adamant about not resigning from his position. His wife’s decision to return the 14 plots allocated to her by MUDA was seen as a response to the ongoing ‘politics of hate’ against Siddaramaiah.

The MUDA has now decided to reclaim the allotted plots following Parvathi B M’s voluntary surrender of the properties. Meanwhile, the Lokayukta police conducted a survey of the land involved in the controversy. Siddaramaiah defended his innocence, stating that compensatory sites were provided and questioned the basis for the money laundering case against him.

The BJP has called for his resignation, citing his wife’s actions as an admission of guilt. However, Siddaramaiah refuses to step down, maintaining that he has done nothing wrong. With political tensions escalating, the case continues to unfold, leaving the fate of the Chief Minister in uncertainty.
