Nigeria@64: NAS urges FG to tackle rising hunger and out-of-school children

Nigeria@64: Addressing Critical Issues for a Brighter Future

By Jeremiah Urowayino

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Day, the National Association of Seadogs, Pyrates Confraternity, is calling on the Federal Government to take urgent economic action to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians, especially concerning the growing hunger crisis.

In their Independence Day message, titled “Nigeria@64: Walking on Tightrope,” NAS highlighted the need for President Bola Tinubu to address pressing issues such as insecurity, poverty, bad infrastructure, and the high number of out-of-school children.

The group warned that failure to address the worsening economic conditions could lead to social unrest. They emphasized the importance of investing in healthcare, education, and infrastructure to ensure a healthy and prosperous future for all Nigerians.

NAS also criticized the government’s handling of inflation and urged for better protection for farmers to enhance food production and reduce reliance on imports. They called for strengthened security agencies and greater accountability to restore public trust in the system.

Ultimately, the NAS believes that by prioritizing the welfare of its people and promoting unity and collective effort, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and build a prosperous, secure, and equitable future.
