Musandam prepares for winter tourism influx

Musandam in Oman is getting ready for its winter tourism season, set to welcome visitors from around the world from November to April. Last year, the region saw over 68,000 tourists from various countries, with many arriving on cruise ships to explore the historical landmarks and rich heritage.

Director Salah bin Mohammed al Farsi highlighted the collaboration between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and other agencies to promote Musandam’s natural beauty and historical sites. With numerous castles, forts, and marine attractions, the governorate offers a range of activities for visitors, including the world’s longest zipline over water in Khasab.

With ten hotels offering a total of 493 rooms, regular meetings are held to address challenges and ensure a seamless experience for tourists. The Musandam Governor’s Office is also leveraging social media to promote key destinations and attract more visitors to the unique offerings of the region.
