Milei welcomes Bukele at Casa Rosada

Bukele expressed admiration for Milei’s government and highlighted their friendship, aiming to achieve positive outcomes for both nations. Discussions also took place between Bukele’s security teams and Argentine officials, especially focusing on crime reduction strategies.
The leaders had previously met at the UN General Assembly and maintained a close relationship. Bukele’s visit to Argentina included meetings with key political figures and a public appearance at Casa Rosada’s balcony after their private discussions.
Despite controversies surrounding Bukele’s security policies, his efforts in combating crime have been praised. His visit to Buenos Aires signifies a strengthening of ties between El Salvador and Argentina.
