Lebanon death toll rises as Israeli bombing intensifies

Israel’s recent aerial attack on Lebanon has resulted in a devastating loss of lives and destruction of residential buildings across the country. The Lebanese health ministry reported that at least 105 people were killed in air raids, with a significant number of casualties in south Lebanon.

One tragic incident that stands out is the collapse of a five-story building in Ain el Delb near Sidon, where at least 45 people lost their lives. Among the victims was Julia Ramadan, a young Lebanese woman who was delivering aid to displaced families when the building was hit.

In eastern Lebanon, towns and villages suffered heavy explosions from ‘fire belts,’ causing significant damage and loss of lives. Locals in the Beqaa Valley have been pleading for assistance in recovering bodies trapped under rubble.

With Israeli strikes claiming the lives of at least 1,700 individuals over the past year, including many civilians, the situation remains dire. As the conflict intensifies, innocent lives continue to be lost, highlighting the urgent need for a resolution to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon.
