The strikes also took out heads of elite units within Hezbollah, such as Ibrahim Aqil, Ahmad Wehbe, Ali Karaki, Mohammad Surour, and Ibrahim Kobeissi. These eliminations demonstrate Israel’s targeted approach in disrupting Hezbollah’s activities and leadership.
Assassinations and Continuing Conflict:
Notably, Nasrallah’s second-in-command, Naim Kassem, remains a vital figure in Hezbollah, possibly next in line for leadership. Hashim Safieddine, tipped as Nasrallah’s successor, and remaining commanders Talal Hamieh and Abu Ali Reda are also in the Israeli military’s crosshairs.
