Israeli Airstrikes Target Damascus, Resulting in Civilian Casualties

In a series of deadly airstrikes on the Syrian capital of Damascus, the Israeli regime launched missiles from the occupied Golan Heights, leading to civilian casualties and significant damage. Syrian air defenses intercepted many of the missiles, but the attacks resulted in three civilian deaths, nine injuries, and property damage.

Among the casualties was local journalist Safaa Ahmad, killed in the Mezzeh neighborhood strike. A Syrian TV anchor also lost their life in the assault. The Syrian military has repeatedly urged the UN Security Council to address these violations of sovereignty.

Israel’s targeting of Syria, often aimed at Hezbollah positions, is seldom acknowledged by Tel Aviv. These attacks coincide with the regime’s actions in Gaza. As Syria continues to combat terrorism effectively, international intervention is crucial to preserving its territorial integrity.
