Iran and India to conduct joint naval drill in Persian Gulf – Political news

The Indian Navy’s “peace and friendship” fleet, led by Captain Anshul Kishore, has arrived in Iran’s Bandar Abbas. The fleet, consisting of three destroyers, is docking in Iran as a part of a goodwill mission.

Captain Masoud Beigi of the Iranian Navy has announced that the naval forces of both countries will conduct a joint exercise in the waters north of the Hormuz Strait. This collaboration is seen as a step towards enhancing the maritime security and cooperation between India and Iran.

During the fleet’s four-day stay in Iran, the Indian forces will participate in the joint exercise and also take the opportunity to explore the cultural and recreational sites in Bandar Abbas. Such reciprocal visits are expected to promote friendship and strengthen the ties between the two navies.
