Great news for motorists in Jordan! The government’s fuel pricing committee at the Energy Ministry has announced a decrease in prices for diesel, 90-octane gasoline, and 95-octane gasoline for the month of October.
In October, the price of 90-octane gasoline will drop to JD.860 per litre, down from JD.885 in September. Similarly, the price of 95-octane gasoline will be reduced to JD1.095 per litre, down from JD1.125 in September.
Moreover, the committee has decided to lower the price of diesel to JD0.655 per litre, down from JD0.695, while maintaining the price of kerosene at JD0.620 per litre. The price of the 12.5-kilogramme gas cylinder will remain at JD7.
This decision was made during the committee’s monthly meeting, where prices for oil derivatives in the local market were set based on international prices and other factors such as shipping and taxes.
Additionally, the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission announced that the “differences in fuel prices” category on monthly electricity bills for October will remain at zero fils per kilowatt-hour.
